TASTING OF TYPICAL PRODUCTS
Tour A: OLIVE OIL, BALSAMIC VINEGAR, PARMIGIANO CHEESE
1st day MILANO LINATE – LAGO DI GARDA/BARDOLINO: olive-oil museum
Arrival at the airport of Milano Linate and transfer to Lago di Garda.
Stop at Bardolino to visit of the olive-oil museum. Panoramic tour of
the lake. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner at a restaurant. Overnight at
the hotel.
2nd day LAZISE – MODENA: balsamic vinegar
Breakfast at the hotel. Short walk along the streets of the fortified
Lazise and continue to Modena. Visit of a vinegar firm to know the production
methods. Tasting of some vinegar. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner at a
restaurant. Overnight at the hotel .
3rd day PARMA : parmigiano cheese
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Parma for the visit of a cheese firm:
tasting of parmigiano. Departure
Tour B: OLIVE-OIL SEMINAR in TUSCANY and UMBRIA
1st day SIENA by night
Arrival in Siena and dinner at a typical restaurant of the historical
centre. Guided tour of Siena by night. Return to the hotel for dinner
and overnight.
2nd day CHIANTI: seminar of the olive-oil - Tuscan cuisine cooking
class
Breakfast at the hotel. Seminar of the olive-oil: an expert will explain
the olive-oil properties and production methods: olive oil guided tasting.
Transfer to farmhouse of the Chianti region to participate to a Tuscan
cuisine cooking class. Dinner with the chef. Return to the hotel for
the overnight stay.
3rd day FIESOLE: olive-oil tasting - FIRENZE guided tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Fiesole for the visit of a firm producing
olive oil: visit of the oil press and tasting of the different kind of
oil.
Continue to Florence for a guided tour of the artistic city and some shopping
at the end. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
4th day CORTONA: visit - TORGIANO: olo di oliva - ASSISI
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cortona, situated in a wonderful
olive-oil valley, visit of the enchanted town. Continue to Umbria and
stop at Torgiano to visit the Olive-oil museum, an educational experience
about the production of olive oil. Dinner and overnight at an hotel in
Assisi.
5th day ASSISI – DERUTA: the typical pottery
Breakfast at the hotel. After visiting the medieval Assisi, continue of
the tour to Deruta especially known for its hand-made pottery.
Tour C: OLIVE OIL and TRUFFLES
1st day IMPERIA: olive oil museum
Visit of the olive oil museum of Imperia, opened in 1992 and situated
in one of the most important region of the olive oil. Departure to Piedmont
and accommodation at the reserved hotel. Dinner and overnight.
2nd day LANGHE PIEMONTESI and TRUFFLE
Breakfast at the hotel. Daily excursion along the Langhe valley, known
for by the wine and truffle lovers. Passing by Barolo it is very interesting
to visit a winery and taste the homonymous red wine. Transfer to Alba
for a short visit and a tasting of the white truffle. Continue towards
Diano d’Alba and Montelupo Albese where torrone is produced. Typical
dinner with truffle at a restaurant before returning to the hotel.
3rd day DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure.
