TOUR PLUS: THE ART OF THE ITALIAN CUISINE
1st day: ARRIVAL
Pick-up of the guests at the Florence airport/station and transfer
by private bus to the hotel in the surroundings of Siena.
Check-in to the hotel and welcome-cocktail. Dinner and overnight
stay.
2nd day: COOKING CLASS – SAN GIMIGNANO
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the cooking school in a
restored farmhouse in the countryside. Begin of the cooking
class with the chef and preparation of a complete Tuscan
menu. Afterwards lunch and then transfer to San Gimignano
and meeting with the guide to visit the medieval town with
its famous towers. Wine-tasting of the typical white wine
of the area, the Vernaccia di San Gimignano, in a known wine
cellar in the historical centre. Dinner and overnight stay
at the hotel.
3rd day : TOUR OF THE CHIANTI - SIENA
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure with the guide to the tour
of the Chianti. Stop at a famous wine estate and Chianti
wine-tasting together with a sommelier. Light Lunch at the
estate with beautiful views over the surrounding hills. In
the afternoon transfer to Siena and guided tour of the historical
centre with the church of San Domenico, the Cathedral, Piazza
del Campo. Some free time for shopping and afterwards typical
dinner in a restaurant in the centre. Return to the hotel
for the overnight stay.
4th day: COOKING CLASS – FLORENCE, FIESOLE
Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out and transfer to a cooking
school in a restored farmhouse in the countryside. Begin
of the cooking class with the chef and preparation of a complete
Tuscan menu. Lunch at the farmhouse and afterwards transfer
to Florence and short panoramic tour and excursion to the
surrounding hills with a beautiful from Fiesole. Check-in
to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
5th day: FLORENCE
Breakfast in the hotel. Meeting with the guide and visit of
the capital of the Renaissance art and architecture! Visit
of Piazzale Michelangelo, the churches of S. Spirito and
Carmine, Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo della Signoria.
At the end visit of the “Accademia delle Belle Arti” to
admire the original of the Michelangelo’s David. Afterwards
some leisure time for shopping and dinner in a famous Tuscan
restaurant in the historical centre. Return to the hotel
for the overnight stay.
6th day: DEPARTURE
Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out and departure of the group
from Florence airport/station.
