TOUR PLUS: VISITING and COOKING IN TUSCANY
1st day ARRIVAL
Pick up of the group at Florence airport/station. Transfer
by bus to your hotel and welcome cocktail. Dinner and overnight
stay.
2nd day COOKING LESSON - SIENA
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Siena to reach the cookery
school. Begin of the cooking lesson with a typical Tuscan
menu and afterwards lunch with the chefs. In the afternoon
guided tour of Siena followed by some free time for shopping.
Dinner at Piazza del Campo in Siena. Return to the hotel
and overnight stay.
3rd day CHIANTI TOUR: OLIVE OIL and WINE TASTING
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to a Chianti local wine estate
producing wine and olive oil. Visit of the estate and its
cellars, including a tasting of olive oil and red wine with
an expert with some typical snacks. In the afternoon continue
the Chianti tour throughout Greve, Radda and Gaiole in Chianti.
Return the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
4th day COOKING LESSON - CHIANTI CASTLES
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Siena to reach the cookery
school for the second cooking class about the Tuscan food.
Lunch with the chefs and afterwards departure to the Chianti
area along the road of the Chianti castles. Stop at a olive
oil producing estate for a short seminary on the different
production methods of olive oil and tasting of different
oils with some snacks. Typical dinner in a restaurant in
the Chianti hills. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
5th day FLORENCE
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Florence, the capital
of the Renaissance art and architecture!
Full day guided tour of the city with the Cathedral, Piazza
della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio etc. In the
afternoon free time for shopping time. Return to the hotel
in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.
6th day COOKING LESSON - MONTERIGGIONI - SAN GIMIGNANO
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Siena to reach the cookery
school. Begin of the last cooking lesson and lunch with the
chefs. Departure through the magnificent Tuscan countryside
for a guided visit of fortified hamlet of Monteriggioni and
the medieval town of San Gimignano. Return to the hotel for
the dinner and overnight stay.
7th day PIENZA - S. ANITMO - MONTALCINO
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Pienza: stop at a farmhouse
to taste the famous Pecorino (sheep cheese). Continue to
Pienza for a guided tour and Light lunch. Transfer to S.
Antimo to visit the abbey and then continue to Montalcino
to admire the medieval art of the buildings. Then continue
to one of the most famous wine producing estates for a wine-tasting
of the Brunello di Montalcino. Farewell-Dinner at one of
the most typical restaurants of the area. Return to the hotel
for the overnight stay.
8th day DEPARTURE
Breakfast in the hotel and transfer to the Florence airport/station.
