TOUR PLUS: CULINARY TOUR IN TUSCANY
1st day ARRIVAL - FLORENCE
Pick up of the group at Florence airport/station. Transfer
by bus to your hotel and ckeck-in. Dinner and overnight stay.
2nd day FLORENCE
Breakfast in the hotel. Meeting with the guide for the guided
tour of the Renaissance town with it’s famous squares
and monuments. Free lunch and in the afternoon free time
for shopping in Florence. In the evening typical dinner in
a characteristic restaurant. Return to the hotel for the
overnight stay.
3rd day SAN GIMIGNANO - MONTERIGGIONI
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to San Gimignano and meeting
with the guide to visit the medieval town, famous for its
towers. Then transfer to a local estate for a wine tasting
with light lunch. In the afternoon continue to visit the
fortified hamlet of Monteriggioni. Afterwards continue to
the hotel in the countryside and check-in. Dinner and overnight
stay in the hotel.
4th day COOKING LESSON - SIENA
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Siena to reach the cookery
school for a cooking class about Tuscan food. Lunch with
the chefs and in the afternoon meeting with the guide for
the visit of the gothic town centre. Afterwards some free
time and return to the hotel for the dinner and overnight
stay.
5th day CHIANTI TOUR: OLIVE OIL and WINE TASTING
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure with guide to the Chianti
area and visit of one of the typical villages. Continue to
a local wine estate producing wine and olive oil. Visit of
the estate and its cellars, including a tasting of olive
oil and red wine with an expert and light lunch. In the afternoon
continue of the Chianti tour and stop in a typical castle
for a pasta party and afterwards a typical dinner. Return
to the hotel for the overnight stay.
6th day PIENZA - MONTALCINO
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure with guide to Pienza: stop
at a farmhouse to taste the famous Pecorino (sheep cheese).
Continue to Pienza for a guided tour and free lunch. Transfer
to Montalcino to admire the medieval art of the buildings.
Wine tasting of the famous Brunello di Montalcino in a local
wine bar. Return to the hotel for the dinner and overnight
stay.
7th day SAN GIOVANNI D’ASSO – S’ANTIMO
- MONTEPULCIANO
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to San Giovanni d’Asso
for a morning dedicated to the truffle hunting with the tasting
of some typical products based on truffle with stop at the
abbey of S. Antimo. In the afternoon continue to Montepulciano
for the visit of the town and a wine tasting of the Vino Nobile
di Montepulciano. Return to the hotel for the dinner and overnight
stay.
8th day DEPARTURE
Breakfast in the hotel and transfer to the Florence airport/station.
