TOUR PLUS: AUTUMN in TUSCANY
1st day ARRIVAL
Pick up of the passengers with the tour leader at Florence
airport/railway station and transfer with private coach to
Siena. Check-in the hotel and welcome cocktail. Dinner and
overnight stay.
2nd day SIENA – SAN GIMIGNANO
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Siena where you will have
a guided tour of the historical centre. Typical lunch at
a tavern in Siena. In the afternoon continue to Monteriggioni
and San Gimignano for a guided tour and some free time for
shopping. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
3rd day FLORENCE
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Florence for the escorted
full day tour of the capital of the Renaissance art & architecture
of Italy! Overlooking view from Piazzale Michelangelo, and
then visit of the S. Spirito and S. Croce churches, the Cathedral,
Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Vecchio. Afterwards free time for
shopping. Typical dinner at a restaurant in Florence. Return
to the hotel for the overnigh stay.
4th day CHIANTI TOUR: olive oil, vinegar and wine
tasting
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to the Chianti region to
reach a famous wine estate producing wine, vinegar and olive-oil.
Enjoy a visit of the estate and it's cellars, including a tasting
of olive oil and red wine with an expert wine-maker. Afterwards
tasting of different kinds of vinegar. In the afternoon continue
of the Chianti tour with visit of Greve in Chianti, Radda in
Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti. Dinner at a famous restaurant
in the Chianti area. Return to the hotel for the overnight
stay.
5th day MONTEPULCIANO and MONTALCINO
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to southern Siena for an
escorted tour. Short visit of Montepulciano, one of the most
famous wine producing villages and wine-tasting of Nobile
di Montepuciano. In the afternoon continue to S. Antimo Abbey
and to the middle aged Montalcino. Late in the afternoon
transfer to an ancient castle for a wine tasting of the famous
Brunello red wine and, afterwards, dinner in a typical restaurant.
6th day DEPARTURE
Breakfast in hotel. Check-out and transfer to Florence for
the departure.
